Analysis of paint samples from the wrought iron dome at Halifax Borough Market
Calderdale Council instructed Womersleys Ltd to carry out thin section paint analysis, from samples provided by their surveyor from the wrought iron dome within Halifax Borough Market, built between 1891 and 1896. From the results it appears that the dome was brightly painted in oil paints coloured to Eygptian Blue and Copper coloured Greens, including Brusnwik Green.
